Once Upon a Small Town It opens when Han Ji Yul (played by Choo Young Woo), a young veterinarian at a large Seoul clinic, receives a mysterious call. Causing him to rush to Hee Dong Village with the thought that something might have happened to his grandfather and grandmother who raised him from a young age. But when he arrived, he realized that he had already been taken by Grandfather Curry. They went on a cruise around the world to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, so Han Ji Yul was summoned to take care of the village animal hospital while on vacation.
